The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) hosted its second annual Celebration of Construction on the National Mall from May 14–16, 2025, in Washington, D.C. This event showcased the latest innovations in construction equipment and technology, emphasizing the industry's role in infrastructure development, workforce advancement, and sustainability.
The event was between the U.S. Capitol and the Washington Monument on the National Mall.. It featured over 80 pieces of heavy machinery, including excavators, cranes, loaders, and utility vehicles, were on display. Interactive exhibits highlighted advancements in emissions technology, alternative power sources, and construction methods aimed at improving efficiency and safety.
More than 15,000 visitors, including lawmakers, administration officials, students, and families, attended the event. Notable attendees included U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy and U.S. Department of Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer. Leading manufacturers such as Caterpillar, John Deere, Komatsu, Liebherr, and DEVELON showcased their latest equipment and technologies.
The event aimed to bridge the gap between the construction industry and policymakers, highlighting the sector's contributions to the economy and infrastructure. It provided a platform for discussions on policies affecting equipment manufacturers and emphasized the importance of workforce development in the construction industry.
