The Monster Mash Dash 5K & 1 Mile took over Franklin Sherman Elementary School in McLean on Sunday, October 25, 2026, bringing a morning of Halloween spirit, costumes, and neighborhood fun to the PR Race Series. Hosted by =PR= Races, this spooky-season favorite drew a lively crowd of runners, walkers, and local families who came ready to dress up, move, and celebrate the season together. The school campus was buzzing with energy well before the starting horn, making the whole morning feel like one big community Halloween party.
The event offered something for everyone, with a 5K starting at 8:00 AM followed by a 1 Mile Fun Run at 9:00 AM. Seasoned runners chased personal bests while families and young trick-or-treaters-in-training took on the shorter distance at their own pace. Costumes were encouraged, and participants brought creativity, humor, and plenty of spirit to the start line.
Every pre-registered participant took home a commemorative race shirt, a custom finisher medal, post-race snacks, and free race-day photos to remember the morning. Finishers also received digital finisher certificates, and top overall and age-group finishers were recognized with awards, highlighting the competitive drive of the runners who showed up for the 5K.
Whether you came to chase a fast 5K, enjoy a family fun run, or show off your best costume, the 2026 Monster Mash Dash was a spooktacular success. We already look forward to next year's event. See the photos of the race below. Enjoy!
